For our next Phi Tau Class of Spring 2023 Spotlight, we will be featuring Audrey Gates, who graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with a concentration in flute!
What are your plans for after graduation?
I hope to continue to teach in the DFW area, likely as a middle school band director.
What has been your favorite part of being a member of the chapter, and of being a student at the UNT College of Music?
As VP, I was given the opportunity to work closely with every member of our chapter of Mu Phi. It has been amazing to watch my peers grow and create friendships within the fraternity. I have also greatly enjoyed serving the community, and my fondest memories include leaving sticky notes with affirmations around campus and performing at local nursing homes.
If you had one piece of advice to give new members of the chapter, what would it be?
Don’t over-stress! Mu phi is a great organization for creating connections and giving back to the music community. It should always be fun, and music, friendship, and harmony should be at the core of all you do; remember to seek balance.

We will miss you, Audrey! Thank you for being a part of our phamily, and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!
Stay tuned to the blog over the coming weeks as we continue to highlight our recently graduated and returning members of the chapter! GMG, and Mu Phi For Life!
