We had a really phun, educational, and exciting week as jury season approaches and the Spring 2023 semester begins to wrap up!

On Wednesday night, one of our new initiates, Abby, performed in an exhilarating concert with the UNT Concert Orchestra and winners of the UNT Concerto Competition.

On Thursday evening, we collaborated with our friends at NTMEA (North Texas Music Educators Association) to put on an extremely fun General Music Jam for the College of Music with two members of our music education faculty, Dr. Knapp and Dr. Crawford. We participated in a drum circle, engaging in several memorable and fun activities, while also learning about how to run similar sessions and incorporate lessons about percussion for our students in the future.

On Friday night, four members of our chapter-Emily, Sam, Carter, and Caleb-performed with the UNT Wind Orchestra in an unforgettable concert as a part of UNT’s PASIC Day, with incredible soloists performing by their side!

Saturday began with an extremely rewarding morning of service, as members of our chapter helped our staff as students from the Dallas ISD Virtual Lessons Program came to the College of Music. Our wonderful brothers even got to help the Dallas ISD students as they went on a “scavenger hunt” across campus after their masterclasses!

On Saturday afternoon, members of our chapter participated in two amazing performances. Several members performed in our second chapter recital (as well as our Phi Tau Chorus and Boomwhacker Ensemble), while graduating senior Amanda went to Brookhaven to perform with the Denton Community Orchestra. An amazing afternoon of music making all-around!

Only two more weeks before finals! Stay tuned for what exciting and chaotic things we find ourselves up to as the school year comes to a close! GMG, and Mu Phi For Life!
